Riverland

From grapes grown on the edge of Australia’s outback, this full-bodied red is beautifully balanced. The hardy varieties selected each year suit the dry Riverland climate, giving lifted red fruits, savoury spice and supple tannins. Vibrant, generous, and ready to share.

Production notes
What it's like

Candied raspberries and cherries lead the way, with blue fruits, earthy forest notes, and a fine chalky texture. A lively acidity ties it all together for a refreshing finish.

Serving suggestions

Serve lightly chilled, or serve cold then leave the bottle out of the fridge and enjoy the different flavours as the wine changes temperature. A perfect match for pizza night.

-

Varieties

Production

5% lightly crushed at the bottom of the tank, the rest added as whole bunches for a natural carbonic maceration method. Juice drained off at careful intervals to keep tannins gentle and the wine light on its feet.

Mike Bennie, The Wine Front, 90 points

It’s lush and super soft, inky and has a bite of freshness to it all. Plummy fruit, a touch of chocolaty character, some herbal stuff, a bit minty, some saline touches. It reminds me of wines from tavernas and trattorias that gets poured from a carafe. Easy drinking but super pleasing, washy and glorious in its freshness and depth. A little spritz perhaps in there too, nicely played. Slurpy stuff, done well.
